What is the best AGP video card available on the market?

The best AGP card would be a Nvidia 6600GT or 6800 video card. 6800 AGP cards are a bit rare but they do exist. It's probably easier (and probably cheaper) to get a 6600GT, however. These cards are a good choice because they support the latest graphic doo-hickeys like the latest shader version, DirectX 9, etc.

Please note that no ATI X-series (X300, X600, X700, X800, X1800) cards are available in AGP form except for one that exists for Apple Macs. These cards are manufactured months to years in advance and ATI chose not to support AGP in favor of PCI-Express.|||Try the link below.|||A 6800 is the best GPU out there on a AGP platform. You can overclock these and unlock pixel pipelines to be at the same level of performance of a 6800gt on the PCI-e interface. Really if you're looking to go really high-end you should consider switching to PCI-e.|||The Nvidia GForce 6600 or the ATI X1600 are probably the best and most expensive out there for AGP cards. (8x AGP of course)|||I agree with KB Nvidia GForce or the ATI video cards are the best.
